About
Some men spend decades becoming someone impressive — and wake up one day to find the people who matter most are strangers to them. I work with high-functioning men who've earned success but still sense something essential is missing. Their drive is quietly driving away the people they love most. My background is unusual for a coach. I'm an OB/GYN with experience in global public health research and consulting. When I faced my own second-half of life transition, I realized the principles of public health could be applied to growing our personal health. I completed graduate training in coaching and leadership development through the Townsend Institute. That combination shapes how I work: evidence-based and clinically rigorous, but oriented toward the whole person — the BEST man defined by an integrated Body, Emotion, Spirit, and Talent. Most guys want to focus on Talent and maybe Body, but weaknesses in our Emotion and Spirit will surely limit their development. What I've found, both in life and coaching, is that high-achieving men rarely have a competence problem. They have a formation problem. The same drive that built their success has often stunted their interior development. They're effective everywhere except where it counts most — at home, in their marriages, with their kids. My coaching creates structured space for men to examine what's actually driving their behavior. I draw on attachment theory, Enneagram, and leadership psychology to help men move from high-functioning to genuinely fulfilled in their work, their fatherhood, and their closest relationships. This is demanding work. I'm not the right coach for men looking for accountability hacks or productivity advice. I work with men ready to face deeper questions. If this is intriguing, I'd love to talk.

Testimonials
"As a father of two sons myself, I wish I'd had this program when my boys were in this crucial 2-12 age range. The internal work David guides fathers through—confronting the lies that hold us back, bringing purpose to chaos, and learning to truly be present—is exactly what we need during those formative years that shape our sons for a lifetime. What impresses me most about David's approach is his integration of grace, truth, and time—the very elements that create secure attachment. He understands that our sons don't need perfect fathers; they need present ones who are willing to be transformed themselves. If you're a dad who senses there's deeper work to be done—work that will shape not just your son's childhood but the man he becomes—Base Camp 322 offers a wise and practical pathway forward. Todd W. "Base Camp 322 has been a high-impact investment towards becoming a better leader for my family. As guys we often have clear roadmaps for our careers, finances, and/or gym routine; Base Camp 322 blazes a trail in areas more difficult to measure, and infinitely more important in the grand scheme. It’ll help drive deeper connections with your spouse/kids and unlock more of that awesome dad potential we’ve all got inside of us."
